I just returned about a week ago from leading a team of 21 of us to Honduras. We have not been there for 8 years. We were privileged to be part of a three night series of unity meetings of five pastors and congregations. There is a great move of unity happening in Honduras praise God!
We were also honored to hold a Vacation Bible School in a public school as well as a Medical Clinic in a different public school. We laid a concrete foundation for home as well. We saw amazing miracles of physical healing! A man who could not stand much less walk, was carried in by two men during the first unity service. He was healed, stood up on his feet and walked! Many people healed of various internal issues reported no pain immediately. Two girls that were demon possessed and manifesting violently on the floor in front of the congregation were delivered and set free in Jesus name!
Unity is a powerful force. The Tower of Babel teaches us that unity, even without the Lord, is powerful and men can do amazing things. How much more when we come together in unity under the banner of Christ Jesus! Look at this passage of scripture in Psalm 133:1-3, Behold, how good and how pleasant it is For brothers to dwell together in unity! It is like the precious oil upon the head, Coming down upon the beard, Even Aaron’s beard, Coming down upon the edge of his robes. It is like the dew of Hermon Coming down upon the mountains of Zion; For there the LORD commanded the blessing—life forever. Notice there is a “commanded blessing” from the Lord when we come together in unity.
Jesus prayed for unity in John 17. Jesus also told us He would give us keys to the Kingdom of Heaven in Matthew 16. One of the keys the Holy Spirit is releasing in this day and hour is unity. When we come together in unity (not uniformity) the Lord commands a blessing and the culture of the Kingdom of Heaven begins to be released in a city or region. You see, His blessing is already on certain things, like unity. For to long we have implemented our “good” ideas, events, outreaches or start a ministry and ask God to bless it. Let’s have eyes to see and ears to hear where the Lord is already working and join Him. His blessing is already on what He has ordained for us. Humility is the seed bed for unity. We must humble ourselves and confess our need for one another, other congregations, other gifts in the body of Christ, etc. When we do we will receive the grace of God and His commanded blessing. If not, forget about Satan, we will find God Himself opposing us.
But He gives a greater grace. Therefore it says, “GOD IS OPPOSED TO THE PROUD, BUT GIVES GRACE TO THE HUMBLE.” James 4:6, 1 Peter 5:5
