Ekklesia at Caesarea Philippi

In Matthew 16 Jesus walked with His disciples to a place in Northern Israel called Caesarea Philippi. It was a very evil location at that time. False gods and idols were worshipped there along with animal sacrifice. The gates of hades was a reference to a large cave located there. When they arrived, Jesus asked a question, “Who do people say that I am?” The disciples answered and then He asks another question. A more personal question, “Who do you say that I am?” As if to ask who He is in light of all these false gods and idols. Peter answers, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.” Jesus then goes on to tell them that no man revealed this truth. Peter heard directly from God the Father.

Jesus then tells them what He plans to build and the authority it will have on the earth. It is not church. That word was added to our Bibles and it is not the word Jesus spoke. It couldn’t be…the word church did not become a word in any language until nearly 300 years later. So, if it isn’t church, what is it?

We have been living under a false identity as church for far to long. This is Satan’s original deception in the Garden of Eden and he is still using the same tactics today; keeping people ignorant of who they are and what Jesus said He was building. Jesus was challenged, attacked and murdered for His identity…by religious people by the way.

As a man thinks within himself, so is he, Proverbs 23:7. What we believe about ourselves is who we become which also dictates what we do. Discover what Jesus said He would build.

Above is a short video that was recorded on location in Israel at Caesarea Philippi. I wrote a book that details what Jesus said He would build and how it was God’s plan from the beginning of creation. Here is a link for the book – Ekklesia

  • I do enjoy the manner in which you have presented this particular matter plus it does indeed offer me personally some fodder for consideration. However, coming from what I have experienced, I simply just hope when the actual reviews stack on that individuals keep on issue and don’t start on a tirade associated with some other news du jour. Anyway, thank you for this fantastic piece and even though I can not really go along with it in totality, I regard the point of view.

    • Thank you for your comment! This is a very short teaching on what Jesus said He would build which is Ekklesia not Church. I wrote a book on it that you can find on my site or Amazon if you wish. Seek the truth. Many blessings!

  • The crux of your writing whilst appearing agreeable initially, did not really work well with me personally after some time. Someplace within the sentences you actually managed to make me a believer unfortunately just for a very short while. I nevertheless have a problem with your jumps in logic and you would do nicely to help fill in those breaks. In the event you can accomplish that, I will certainly end up being amazed.

    • Stefan, thanks for your comment. This video is a very short teaching on what Ekklesia means and the wind noise is horrible. There is so much more to it. I wrote a book on it and I am now planning a second one. There are also several excerpts from my book on my site if you care to read them. My speaking and writing style leaves space on purpose for those who have a desire to seek the Lord and get revelation for themselves. Too much teaching today leaves nothing for people to do on their own therefore they do not have much revelation just information. If you would be specific on a few spots you are referring to I will do my best. Thanks again!
